Why these three categories

Most recommendation sites cover everything and know nothing. We picked three areas where the buying decision is genuinely hard and the existing coverage is weak or padded.

Home Tech and Kitchen Tech are crowded markets where the difference between the right product and the wrong one is real money and daily friction. Abili-Tech is the reason the site exists: assistive and accessibility technology is badly served by mainstream review coverage, and buyers are often making a decision under time pressure, for themselves or for a family member, with very little independent guidance.

How we pick

Define the job
What the product has to do, for whom, and what the realistic constraints are: budget, space, existing setup, physical requirements.

Narrow to a real shortlist
Specifications, current pricing, warranty and Canadian availability. Products that fail on availability or support in Canada are cut regardless of how well they review elsewhere.

Name one pick and one alternative
A main pick, plus a budget or specialised alternative. If nothing in a category is worth buying, we say so rather than filling the slot.
